Terms of Service
These terms cover the VoiceCue apps, the web app, and this website. By using VoiceCue you agree to them.
Last updated 3 August 2026
In plain terms. Your scripts and recordings are yours. Pro is a subscription billed by Apple or Google that renews until you cancel — or a one-time Lifetime purchase — and you cancel a subscription in the store, not here. AI output is generated by a machine, so check it before you rely on it.
Who we are
VoiceCue is operated by Dice Systems EOOD, a company registered in Bulgaria (UIC 208915913), zh.k. Lyulin 7, bl. 737, vh. B, et. 4, ap. 50, 1324 Sofia, Bulgaria ("we", "us"). "You" is you, the person using VoiceCue.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use VoiceCue on devices you own or control, in line with the usage rules of the store you got it from. On Apple devices, that means Apple-branded products, and any Family Sharing or volume purchasing rules that apply. The licence is for use of the app — we keep all rights in the software itself. It ends automatically if you break these terms.
Using VoiceCue
You may use VoiceCue for personal or commercial work — reading your scripts, recording yourself, and everything the app is built to do. You need to be old enough to enter a contract where you live; VoiceCue isn't intended for children under 13.
You agree not to:
- break the law with it, or use it to produce content that is illegal, harassing, or infringes someone else's rights;
- resell, rent, or redistribute the app or your Pro access;
- reverse engineer, tamper with, or circumvent the app's licensing or paid features;
- attack, overload, or probe our servers, or automate access to the AI features beyond normal personal use.
An account is optional. If you create one, keep your credentials safe — activity under your account is your responsibility. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms.
Your content
Your scripts and recordings are yours. We claim no ownership of them. We don't use them to train models, and we don't share them.
If you turn on Cloud Sync, you give us the narrow permission we need to store and transmit your scripts so they reach your other devices — nothing more. Turn it off, or delete your account, and that stops. What is stored where is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Free plan and Pro
The teleprompter is free: unlimited scripts, voice-activated scrolling, recording, and display customisation, with no account and no card. Pro unlocks extras such as the AI script writer, Cloud Sync, longer scripts, 4K recording, and the floating teleprompter.
Billing
- Pro is a recurring subscription. Prices, billing period and any free trial are shown before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
- It renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- If you have a free trial, any unused part is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Lifetime
Pro is also sold as a one-time Lifetime purchase. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the product, not yours — it does not oblige us to operate VoiceCue indefinitely. A Lifetime purchase gives you a permanent licence to the app: the teleprompter, voice-activated scrolling, recording, your local scripts and the language packs you have already installed keep working, including if our servers are switched off. The parts that depend on our servers — Cloud Sync, the AI script writer, and downloading new language packs — run for as long as we offer VoiceCue.
Cancelling
Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings — the app can take you there from Settings → Manage Subscription, but the cancellation itself happens in the store, because that's where the billing lives. You keep Pro until the end of the period you've already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds
Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are refunded under Apple's and Google's policies, and we can't issue those refunds ourselves. Consumer rights in your country still apply. If something has gone wrong, email support@voicecue.app and we'll help where we can.
AI features
The AI writer generates text using a third-party model. Generated text can be wrong, biased, or unintentionally similar to existing material — check it before you use it, especially for anything published, legal, medical, or financial. You are responsible for what you do with the output, and for the prompts you submit.
AI generation is subject to fair-use limits so the service stays available to everyone. We may adjust those limits, and may suspend access that's automated or abusive.
Allowances are set against AI models of comparable cost to those available when you bought. If the cost or availability of the underlying model changes materially, we may adjust allowances with at least 30 days' notice. Outside such a change, the allowance in effect when you make a Lifetime purchase is kept for that purchase — we may set a different allowance for purchases made later.
Availability and changes
We work to keep VoiceCue running, but we don't promise uninterrupted service — updates, maintenance, and third-party outages happen. We may add, change, or retire features. If we remove something significant that you're paying for, we'll tell you in advance and you can cancel.
VoiceCue is built so the core teleprompter runs entirely on your device. Even if our servers were switched off, your scripts, your recordings, and voice-controlled scrolling with already-downloaded language packs would keep working. The parts that depend on our servers are Cloud Sync, the AI writer, sign-in, and downloading new language packs.
If we discontinue VoiceCue
If we ever shut down those online services, or VoiceCue entirely, we will:
- give you at least 30 days' notice in the app, and by email if you have an account;
- stop selling subscriptions and switch off renewals, so nobody pays into a service that's ending;
- either keep Pro features you've paid for running until the end of your current billing period, or refund the unused portion of what you paid, through the store you bought from — you never lose time you've already paid for;
- for Lifetime purchases, publish a final build that runs without our servers, so the teleprompter, voice-activated scrolling and recording keep working — and, because a Lifetime purchase should not be cut short, guarantee the server features for at least two years from the date you bought. If we stop sooner, you can claim a pro-rata refund of the unexpired part of those two years: ask us within 90 days of the announcement and we will refund you, through the store where that is possible and directly where it is not;
- give you time to sync your scripts to your devices before synced data is deleted.
Your statutory rights are unaffected by any of this.
Warranty and liability
VoiceCue is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost recordings, or lost data. Where liability can't be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for VoiceCue — whether to us directly or through the App Store or Google Play — in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that can't be limited by law — including your statutory consumer rights.
Keep your own backups of anything important. Recordings live on your device and we have no copy of them.
Third-party services
VoiceCue connects to services we don't control — the App Store and Google Play, Google's Gemini API for AI writing, and Firebase for accounts and sync. Their availability and terms are theirs, not ours, and we're not responsible for them. Language packs you download are provided under their own open-source licences.
Export and sanctions compliance
By using VoiceCue you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You agree not to use the app for any purpose prohibited by export law, including the development or production of weapons.
Apple App Store
For apps downloaded from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for VoiceCue. If the app fails to conform to any warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or third-party intellectual property claims. If a third party claims the app infringes their intellectual property, we — not Apple — are solely responsible for investigating and resolving that claim. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Questions, complaints and support requests go to support@voicecue.app.
Ending these terms
You can stop using VoiceCue at any time and delete your account from Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may suspend or end your access if you materially break these terms. The sections on your content, liability, governing law, and the General section survive.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria, and disputes go to the Bulgarian courts. If you're a consumer in the EEA or UK, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in, and may bring proceedings there.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for good reason: when the law or a store's requirements change, when we add, change, or retire features, when billing mechanics change, or to correct or clarify the terms themselves. We'll update the date at the top whenever we do.
For changes that materially affect your rights, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice in the app — and by email if you have an account — before they take effect. If you don't want to accept such a change, you can cancel your subscription and stop using VoiceCue before the change takes effect; until then the old terms apply. Changes that don't reduce your rights — clarifications, new features, changes in your favour — may take effect immediately. Using VoiceCue after a change takes effect means you accept it.
Price changes for an existing subscription are handled by the App Store or Google Play, which ask for your consent where the law requires it.
General
Severability. If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, that part is enforced to the maximum extent permitted and, if necessary, treated as removed — the rest of these terms remains in full force.
Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and the prices shown at purchase, are the entire agreement between you and us about VoiceCue, and replace any earlier agreements or statements. This does not exclude liability for fraudulent misrepresentation, and does not affect statutory rights that marketing statements may give consumers under local law.
No waiver. If we don't enforce a part of these terms right away, that isn't a waiver — we can still enforce it later.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours to a successor — for example if our business is sold or merged — provided the successor honours these terms; we'll give notice of any such transfer.
